Whether the developers agreed with EA or not, they half assed it and half assing something is something i dont believe should ever be done. Multiplayer is a fraction of that 1% that barely anyone cares about. It was finally enabled in a patch released several month later. And even then the initial retail release didn't have functioning multiplayer. Multiplayer was shoehorned into it because their publisher (EA) insisted on it.
